Detail about Recruitment/Job Description/Job Summary:

Deployment of IoT based air quality monitors with solar panels at designated locations across rural areas/ IGP region. Ensure calibration and maintain air quality monitor uptime. Maintenance & troubleshooting of air quality monitors at field sites. Maintenance of IIT Kanpur colocation-calibration facility. This position requires extensive travel (80% of time). Should manage any technical issues of the air quality monitors w.r.t data download, and data access, and coordinate with people on the ground for all maintenance issues and should coordinate with Start-Ups on managing maintenance as needed.

Project Detail:

The research project is aimed at tackling contemporary issues in civil engineering, utilizing innovative methods and state-of-the-art technology to develop sustainable solutions.

Eligibility/Qualification:

Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech + 3yrs experience in relevant field

Areas of Educational Qualification: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a closely related field.

Desirable Experience: Candidate should have prior field work experience

Compensation/Salary:

The compensation for the Project Engineer is INR 31600-2600-78400 per month (Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills), based on qualifications and experience.

Selection Process:

The department reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short listing of eligible candidates satisfying qualifications and experience. The selection will be based on offline and/or online interview. Only short listed candidates will be informed via email about the date of interview.

As regards the medical facilities, only the OPD facility for self shall be available at the Health Centre of IIT Kanpur without any reimbursement of cost of medicines. Any outside referral shall not be reimbursed. For the purpose, a medical booklet shall be provided to you on request.

Tenure:

The position is temporary and contractual, with a tenure of one year, extendable based on performance and project requirements.
