JEECUP 2024 is an entrance examination conducted by UPBTE (Uttar – Pradesh Board of Technical Education) for admission in various diploma polytechnic courses. Here we have provided you complete details of polytechnic admission and entrance examination.
JEECUP: Introduction
JEECUP is an examination which gives you entry to obtain a diploma in polytechnic like – diploma in engineering, diploma in pharmacy, diploma in fashion design etc. This exam is conducted by UPBTE ( Uttar – Pradesh Board of Technical Education) every year for admission in all polytechnic courses. All polytechnic UP colleges, either it is government, government aided or private accept the score of JEECUP for admission.
If any one interested in professional courses just after 10th or 12th can appear in this exam. If you are interested to become Junior Engineer (JE) in various government organizations like – UP Jal Nigam JE, UP Irrigation Department JE, UP PWD JE etc., then I highly recommended you to sit this examination. Students interested in Post Diploma/ Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering, Technology and Management Programs in polytechnic up should also appear in this examination. Polytechnic Courses
JEECUP offers admission in a number of courses in various polytechnic colleges. All polytechnic courses are categorized in groups from A to K ( A, E1 and E2, B, C, D, F, G, H, I, K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, K6, K7 and K8).
Polytechnic courses in various groups
- A: Diploma in Engineering & Technology
- B: Diploma in Agriculture Engineering
- C: Diploma in Fashion Design, Home science and Textile Design and Engineering
- D: Diploma in Modern office management and secretarial Practice, Library and Information Science
- E1: Diploma in Pharmacy (Biology Group)
- E2: Diploma in Pharmacy (Mathematics group)
- F: Post Graduate Diploma in Biotechnology (Tissue Culture)
- G: Post Graduate Diploma Courses.
- H: Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology
- I: Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- K1 – K8: Lateral Entry in 2nd year of Diploma in Engineering and Technology courses.
It is important to note that you can apply for maximum 3 polytechnic courses out of all the above groups:
- From Group – A : only 1 application
- From Group E1 or E2: only 1 application
- Rest other Groups: only 1 application
If you apply for more 3 applications, then your candidature will be rejected. You can not appear in examination.

Eligibility for JEECUP Polytechnic
From high school (10th class) to undergraduate (Bachelor Degree) all are eligible in various courses.
Age Criteria
Upper Age Limit: There is not any upper age limit
Lower Age Limit: Minimum 14 years (Date of birth should be on or Before 01/07/2010)
Various group wise educational eligibility is given in table below.

| D | Office Management: 12th passed/ appeared (Hindi and English subjects in 10th or 12th).Library and Information Science: 12th passed/ appeared. |
| E1 | Passed in 10+2 with Physic and Chemistry as compulsory subject with Biology (Zoology and Botany). |
| E2 | Passed in 10+2 with Physic and Chemistry as compulsory subject with Mathematics. |
| F | B.Sc. passed/ appeared with Biology, Chemistry/Biochemistry. |
| G | Graduate in any discipline (passed/appeared). |
| H | 12th passed/ appeared with 35% marks. |
| I | 12th Science passed/ appeared and aggregate 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. |
| K1-K8 | 1- Intermediate with Science OR 2 – Intermediate Science with Vocational/Technical Subjects OR 3 – ITI |

Important Dates of JEECUP – 2024
Generally, application forms come online in month of Feb-March every year. Examination is conducted in May-June and results declares in July. But depending on the circumstances schedule may vary. The tentative schedule for this year is given below.

Application Fee
Since application process is completely online hence, you have to submit application fee using Internet banking, Credit Card, Debit Card etc. The polytechnic application fee for various students are given below.
- GEN/OBC Category – Rs. 300/- + Bank Charges
- SC/ST Category – Rs. 200/- + Bank Charges
Important Points to Avoid Mistakes in Application for JEECUP Polytechnic 2024 Examination
Before applying you must read these points to avoid any mistake in application form.
- You can apply maximum three applications as discussed above in Polytechnic Course section. If You apply for more than 3, your candidature will be cancelled.
- Your Name, Parents Name and DOB should be according to your 10th class mark sheet / certificate.
- Application process is completely online. You need not to send any hard copy.
- Candidates who are appearing in minimum qualifying examinations, should not appear in exam, if their result is to be declared on 08/04/2024.
