Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Perform surgery on rats and mice.
- Record spontaneous and optogenetically evoked synaptic currents in acute spinal cord slice preparations.
- Record calcium currents in slice preparations, dorsal root ganglion neurons, and HEK cells.
- Analyze data and write scientific manuscripts.
- Conduct pharmacological experiments and action potential recordings.
- Attend clinical and staff meetings.
Eligibility/Qualification
Minimum Qualifications
- MD or PhD in pharmacology, physiology, molecular biology, or neuroscience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in physiology and anesthesiology.
- Experience with slice physiology and patch clamp recordings.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a research lab.

Starting at $61,428 to $71,532 annually, based on years of experience.
